Cohesion tables are mapped to a data source which is dynamically bound at run-time, so the Cohesion editor can be used to edit records from two different tables that may reside in two different databases. Relationships between fields in separate tables may be used so that related data is automatically displayed in the editor across databases. There is no limit to the number of database sources, and database independence means that the data may be stored in any database.
